PPHS - THE POLAR POSTAL HISTORY SOCIETY OF GREAT BRITAIN

The Polar Postal History Society of Great Britain was founded in 1953 and has about 500 members all over the world. The society's objects are to promote the general study of the postal history of the Arctic and Antarctic regions.

The society issues an illustrated newsletter "Polar Post" quarterly. Arrangements are also made to supply members with covers from Arctic and Antarctic post offices, and auctions of Polar philatelic material are held regularly. Meetings are held twice a year in GB. A library, composed of a large number of books and articles on Polar posts, has been formed and members may borrow any item.

The annual subscription (2004) is £10 for members resident in Europe and £15 for those resident elsewhere.
